Our petition
Fair Vote Alberta has an ongoing petition drive calling on Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach to replace our current voting system with a more proportional one. We recommend that the particular system be determined by convening an Alberta Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform, based on the BC model.
Our petition reads as follows:
We, the undersigned residents of Alberta, petition the Legislative Assembly of Alberta to urge the Government to introduce legislation to replace the current system for electing Members of the Legislative Assembly with a proportional voting system.
